Your Role

As a development engineer with electrical knowledge, a large part of your tasks will involve improving and optimizing our existing test and maintenance equipment. You will also be involved in developing new equipment and participating in the implementation process. In this role, you will work closely with all support functions to ensure optimal commissioning and a good maintenance flow within the organization.

Your tasks will include:

• Participating in and driving development projects that include requirement specification, design, realization, verification, and commissioning.
• Development and maintenance of PLC programs, design of electrical systems, implementation of safety systems, and configuration and support during calibration of measurement systems.
• Monitoring existing installations and troubleshooting and identifying needs for adjustments/modifications.
• Documentation of technical analyses, safety assessments, operating instructions, and design reviews.

In addition, work is ongoing to develop our processes and work routines, where we see great opportunities to influence our structure and ways of working. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with others and offers great opportunities for variation and development, both theoretically and practically.

Travel in the role may occur, both within and outside Sweden.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is not afraid to take responsibility for their tasks and has a good ability to structure their work and drive processes, both independently and together with others. You collaborate in a humble and flexible manner and are willing to support your colleagues in their work. You enjoy solving technical problems and have a good ability to prioritize among your tasks.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• A post-secondary education in electrical engineering or equivalent, alternatively a few years of work experience in similar roles.
• Previous experience in a technical position where you have worked with documentation and/or maintenance work.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form as the work includes documentation in both languages.
• Experience with drawing documentation.
• Meritorious with knowledge of PLC systems, LabVIEW, and the MPS system IFS.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
